Original Mixed Media on Canvas, 48"W x 60"H

Concrete Echos 2 reflects the artist’s signature exploration of texture, atmosphere, and the tension between structure and organic erosion. This work unfolds through layered gestures and nuanced tonal shifts, inviting the viewer to experience the quiet mood and material richness embedded in the surface.

The palette centers on warm, earthy neutrals — soft beige, creamy latte, and grounded brown — which create a gentle foundation for the composition. Deep black and crisp white interact throughout the piece, and where these tones merge, they produce a distinctive greasy blue undertone that subtly veils portions of the surface. This unexpected hue adds a moody depth, enhancing the sense of movement and giving the painting a whisper of coolness beneath its otherwise warm architecture.

The artist’s brushwork is intentionally varied: broad, softened strokes blend seamlessly into atmospheric washes, while denser applications of pigment build areas of texture that recall worn surfaces, weathered layers, and the imperfect beauty found in natural material decay. This interplay between smooth transitions and rugged passages forms a rhythmic, contemplative visual language.

As with many works in this series, Concrete Echos 1 carries a sense of layered history. Each mark feels like a trace of something earlier — an echo, a fading imprint, a residue of time. The tension between light and shadow, warm and cool, soft and structured, creates a meditative stillness that draws the viewer inward.

Neither literal nor representational, Concrete Echos 1 offers an atmospheric experience rather than a defined scene — a study in permanence and impermanence, weight and air, presence and disappearance.

  • There’s something magnetic about the rhythm of layered strokes — the way texture and depth pull you in, revealing movement within stillness. Echos in Concrete artwork finds its balance in tones of graphite, ash, and white — raw yet refined — grounding the room with a quiet, powerful presence.

In this interior, the artwork becomes the emotional anchor. Its tactile surface mirrors the textures found throughout the space — from the woven fabrics to the matte walls — creating a visual dialogue between art and design. The result feels both intentional and effortless, as though the room itself was built around the painting’s energy.

At Klingeler Gallery, every piece is more than decoration — it’s a story woven into the architecture, a feeling that lives within the space.
