In On Salt & Sand Studies, Christian Klingeler distills the poetry of the natural world into six intimate mixed-media square compositions. Each 10” × 10” piece unfolds like a fragment of landscape where salt meets stone, where shifting sands trace invisible lines. Together, the series invites us to witness the slow rhythms of time — erosions, renewals, beginnings, endings — rendered through layers of charcoal, latte, and ivory textures.
 
There is a quiet tension between the geometric grids and the organic flow of grainy surfaces, as if geological memory and human gesture are conversing in hush tones. The contrast of sharp lines against softened tones recalls how wind, water, and light sculpt the world — the raw, elemental, and sublime.
